Join Botanologos for a seminar that focuses on the role of the heart, vascular system and liver in healthy blood flow. We’ll begin by traveling through the arteries as we explore the etiology of atherosclerosis and its effect on hearth health. Tracing the development of arterial plaque back to its initial lesions, you’ll learn to apply your knowledge of herbal medicine to prevent heart disease.
Finally, we’ll look at other common cardiovascular symptoms – weak blood vessels, increased capillary permeability – that contribute to swollen limbs, varicosities, hemorrhoids, and other venous insufficiencies. We’ll explore how blood congestion in the heart and liver manifests in hepatic portal stagnation to affect the efficient flow of blood movement through the veins. Together we’ll explore the ways that herbs, nutrition and lifestyle changes can remedy these conditions.
