We’ll cover the five essential elements of a healthy garden (sun, soil, water, location, plants) as well as the right ratio to turn your red clay into fertile soil. Grow a healthy garden by learning sustainable, organic growing methods, and set yourself up for success by learning what to plant, as well as how and where to plant it. We’ll also cover garden maintenance, discuss possible organic inputs, and get a wealth of tips and tricks from a landscape expert.

About the Instructor:
L. Daniel Ballard is the owner of Convivial Gardens, a team bringing life to landscapes and landscapes to life that are both environmentally-friendly and edible. He is the former head gardener with the Wylde Center. His background includes both horticulture and education. Daniel lives in the Kirkwood with his wife and three children.
