Herbal First Aid

  • Hodgepodge Coffee House & Gallery 720 Moreland Avenue Southeast Atlanta, GA, 30316 United States (map)

Herbal First Aid is as old as the human race.  Before inhalers and Neosporin we had lobelia and goldenseal.  Herbal First Aid is an important life skill that empowers us to take care some of our most basic needs and those of our loved ones. Join Herbalista Lorna for a 1/2 day workshop and learn remedies to treat common injuries and also how to customize your kit to meet your own personal needs or those of your family. Plus, go home with a herbal creation or two to get your home off to a healthy year.

About the Instructor:
Lorna Mauney-Brodek is a traveling herbalist, medicine maker, wildcrafter, and founder of the Herbalista Free Clinic, aka the Herb Bus. Currently hubbed in Atlanta, this mobile herb clinic offers both basic first aid treatment and long-term tonic therapies.  The Bus also travels the country offering workshops and pop-up training clinics to other herbalists interested in starting free mobile clinics in their neck of the woods. Lorna maintains a clinical practice and apothecary in East Atlanta as The Herbalista and teaches at various venues around the southeast, including BotanoLogos, the Blue Ridge School, and The Herb Kitchen.
