[SOLD OUT] Get Your Goat: Chef’s Workshop @ Global Growers


Global Growers is having its annual Culture in Agriculture fundraiser in November and will include some tasty, tasty goat on the menu. So we’re using the fact that Global Growers has farmers of different cultural backgrounds and the fact that we need three goats slaughtered and broken down to offer a unique learning experience to Atlanta chefs.

Join us Sunday afternoon to get your goat three different ways: be guided through the E. African and Nepali breakdowns, experiencing the similarities and differences. We’ll also have Mary Rigdon from Decimal Place Farm explain some of the science behind what the slaughter and meat can tell a chef. The goats themselves are generously donated by White Oak Pastures.

The event will take place roughly from 1-5, though you can come as long or short as you’d like. We’ll have some beer and snacks – and goat blood. What more can you want from a sunny Sunday afternoon?

The farm is located between Decatur and Stone Mountain and the exact address will be emailed to you prior to the event.
