Goat N Hammer
Every knife needs a sheath, so you’ll be making a basic leather sheath for them! You’ll learn leather working skills such as pattern cutting, stitch marking, and sewing. No experience is required, but you must bring one of the required knives to class.
Spend a day learning the basic processes of blacksmithing! You’ll get comfortable with the shop, equipment, and materials. This super-fun project is where you’ll start your education and skill training to make a fun bottle opener. You can also take this class for the bragging rights of doing something kickass with your weekend. All skill levels welcome - no experience required!
The Karambit Knife class will introduce you to beveling an edge on your knives by using a 2x72 belt grinder. You’ll also learn stock removal, heat treating, and equipment safety all while having an awesome time in the shop! All skill levels welcome - no experience required!
Puukkos are a traditional Nordic "everyday" knife used for everything from hunting and fishing to kitchen and garden work. This two-day class will take you through the forging and finishing of a Puukko. PREREQUISITES: 2 Introduction to Bladesmithing classes and 4 Knife Grinding class
The Railroad Spike Knife class is a fun place to begin your journey into smithing! No prior experience is required, but come prepared to do some hard work! This class tends to sell out weeks ahead, so don’t wait to reserve your spot!
In the Bracelets class, you get to wear (or gift) what you make! You will make several steel bracelets that are more challenging than they look. The skills you’ll learn in class are basic blacksmithing processes that you’ll use for future projects: fishtails, twisting, and forming on a jig. All are welcome - no prior experience required.
Our take on a hobbyist favorite, the Railroad Spike Knife is a fun place to begin your journey into smithing. You and your child (age 14+) will work together to complete your projects.
