A course for true beginners, Join Fabricate Atlanta to cover the basics of yarn selection, chain (i.e. beginning), single crochet, double crochet, finishing and some really useful tips and tricks.
Crochet is a quick and easy hobby to learn. In just a few hours you can master the skills to create lovable projects that last a lifetime. In this one-session workshop we’ll work from start to finish, talking about yarns, weights and their different uses, which hooks to use when and then stitch up a project together. This class is perfect for a total newbie or as a refresher if it’s been a while since you had your hands on your hooks; we can tailor the class to meet your skill level so that you leave each class excited about what you’ve learned.
Skills Learned: the different crocheting tools and their uses, how to chain (i.e. begin), single crochet, double crochet and finish off (i.e. end). working in rows and how to keep your edges straight, the different properties of yarn and the uses for various weights, problem-solving for common crocheting mistakes and challenges.
This is a two-evening session class. Dates:
