Hands On: Handmade Art Supplies [FREE]

  • Switzer Library 266 Roswell St Marietta, GA, 30064 United States (map)

Join Explore Wildwood for this wonderful and free community event hosted by the Cobb County Public Library System! We'll be at Stratton Library for this program where tweens and teens will learn how to select materials from our earth to make environmentally-friendly art supplies. Our Earth Art instructor will talk a little bit about sourcing materials from outside, will present a hands-on demonstration for how to make a rock-based paint, and will have a variety of items for participants to test out such as homemade crayons, charcoal, and rock paints. Come help to build a better world by using eco-friendly materials in art.

This event is geared towards youth 10-17 years in age, but younger siblings are welcome. Event is open to the public, but RSVPs are recommended so we can be sure to provide enough materials for everyone in attendance.
