In this course, each student will learn the basics of leatherworking from Kat Harris of Fouts Leather by fabricating their own hand stitched leather wallet.
This course will cover the following topics:
Intro to material
Following a pattern
Basic tool use (knives, awl, pricking iron, etc.)
At the end of the class, each student will complete a hand sewn leather wallet similar to what is shown in the picture. For more samples of Katrina's work and designs check out her website: Fouts Leather

About the Instructor:
Katrina is a leather worker and artisan and owns and operates Fouts Leather, making fine leather goods and wares of all types. An Atlanta native that has been making and breaking things her entire life. She enjoys the stillness it brings, while opening up a world of creative ideas. She works with several different mediums, and loves when an idea becomes a finished work of art. If you can think it up, chances are she is game to help make it happen.
