Learn to Build a Cob Playhouse

  • East Lake Commons 900 Dancing Fox Road Decatur, GA, 30032 United States (map)

Join in the fun and learn how to build a cob playhouse with your own hands and feet!   Cob is a natural building material made from clay, sand and straw. Building with cob is messy fun and creates beautiful sculptural forms, buildings, etc. During this workshop, folks will learn how to learn how to mix cob and build cob walls, windows and benches as part of building the East Lake Commons Cob Playhouse.  Bring gloves (or just get your hands dirty), sun protection, water and pack a lunch!

About the Instructor
Aviva Vuvuzela is the organizer of MudBuilders of Atlanta, a group that has been building with cob in Atlanta for many years now. Aviva led the building of the much-loved cob playhouse, "Ox" at the Wylde Center in Oakhurst.
