Join Explore Wildwood for their two-morning Spring Earth Art classes! They've created a mini series of workshops where parent and child (ages 4+) will be learning together. You will not only be learning new skills, but you'll be making items to take home, and having fun together in the process!
In this workshop, parent and child will attend class together to learn all about cord, a utilitarian art form that can be used in a variety of ways from creating household crafts to survival items. We'll start class by discussing ways to use cord and the design and types of cord (including natural cords and nylon-based cords). We'll then be making paracord bracelets in class (one bracelet per registered participant). This is the perfect workshop for a mother or father's morning out with the kids!
Please note that making the paracord bracelets requires some skill and coordination that most younger children do not yet posses. In order to make a bracelet on their own, children should be able to correctly measure, complete simple knots, and be able to tie their shoelaces. If your child can not yet do these things, they are still welcome to attend (recommended for children 4+), and may assist you in the process by choosing colors and holding the end while an adult knots.
COST: $13 for one child/one adult team. Registration includes the materials to make two bracelets (one per person). Additional family members (an extra adult or participating child) may be added for $5/person. 10% discount for Homestead Atlanta Members with Member Discount Code.
