Join Explore Wildwood for this unique spring workshop where we'll introduce students to leather tooling! They will learn a bit about the process of how leather is made and we'll discuss both historical and contemporary uses for it. Students will then get the opportunity to hand tool a creation of their very own. Each child will get to complete one leather project (tooled, dyed, and ready to hang or wear) to take home.
This workshop is geared towards children ages 5-12 years old, and is a "drop off" class. (Adults may sit and read at the tables outside of the studio inside Champion Kids or take siblings to Open Play in one of the gyms on-site.) If this is your first Earth Art class with us, please arrive 5 minutes early to fill out some forms (P.S.- If you are bringing a younger sibling or would like to stay after class to play during Open Play in the gym, Champion Kids is now offering Earth Art students and their families $2 off Open Play on class days!)
Cost: $20/child (+$18 for additional siblings); $18 for Homestead Atlanta Members. This class will be smaller than normal so we can concentrate on the tooling and details, and spaces are very limited, so please be sure to pre-pay on our site to reserve a spot for your child.
