Sewing 102 is geared towards the returning sewer or advanced beginner. In this Fabricate Atlanta course, we pick the projects, you create your own dimensions and you make your own supplies list. This is the perfect class for a sewer that wants to learn the fundamentals of taking ideas (dog beds, zipper pouches, mother/daughter aprons, you get the idea ) and making them a reality.
Prerequisite: Sewing 101 or equivalent skills
Skills You’ll Learn: Making and applying bias tape binding, hand finishing, quilting, invisible zippers, working with a variety of interfacings, elastics and casings, drafting a simple pattern from an existing garment.
Prework: Wash and press fabrics before class
- July Intensive: class meets Monday & Wednesday, July 9th, 11th, 16th & 18th from 7-9:30pm
- September Weekend: class meets Sundays, September 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th from 10am-12:30pm
- October AM: class meets Tuesdays, October 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd from 10am-12:30pm
- October PM: class meets Tuesdays, October 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd from 7-9:30pm
