This soap-making class will consist of learning the cold-process method. We’ll start with the basics and safety guidelines, followed by hands-on soap making soap.
Each participant will take home 2 pounds of their own handmade soap, which will make up 6 to 8 bars depending on the size you cut. Or make smaller hand-soap size or mini guest soaps. We’ll supply a recipe plus full instructions and a resource list for future soap making.
Cold process soap making requires working with lye, which is caustic and can damage clothing. We ask that you come prepared in old clothes, long-sleeved shirt, your own apron, and closed toed shoes. Also, please bring a towel to cover your soap for the trip home. Taught by Soap Maker Duo, Terran & Justin Lewis of Herb ‘N Eden.
