Tomato Can-A-Thon

  • Sweet Auburn Curb Market 4 Jesse Hill Junior Drive Southeast Atlanta, GA, 30303 United States (map)

Because you can never have too many jars of canned organic summer tomatoes in your pantry year-round! Come join us and learn how to safely can fresh tomatoes – in all sizes:  whole, quartered, diced.

We’ll buy crates and crates of fresh organic tomatoes, and have all the jars and equipment ready for you. We’ll all join in and make up jars and jars of  fresh organic tomatoes. We’ll can until all the tomatoes are in jars (pints and quarts). At the end of the morning, you can buy whatever you quantity and size you want at our costs – usually about $5-8 per jar depending on size and market prices.

This class is fun, messy, and busy!  You'll be glad you participated come winter when you pull out a jar to use for marinara sauces, stews, stir-fries, and soups. Slice up whole ones for pizza or chop up for fresh pico de gallo - so many uses all year long!

Note:  you do not have to stay for the entire event.  Come and go as you please.  Jars will start to come out of processor as early as 11:00
