Curriculum Coordinator (Paid Volunteer)

The Homestead Atlanta is defined by the quality of workshops we offer to the community, and we need your help to make sure we're forging the strongest partnerships with the best makers, growers, artisans, and educators in Atlanta and getting their educational opportunities in front of the right eyes. 

This position is entirely remote and can be done on your time schedule. One part information entry and one part community networking, this role is perfect for someone as comfortable behind a keyboard as chatting with a woodworker, herbalist, chef, blacksmith, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with instructors and ensure they're getting the most out of their partnership with The Homestead Atlanta
  • Create appealing course imagery & enter partner workshops into The Homestead Atlanta's website
  • Curate educational opportunities and engage new partners across the metro-Atlanta area to expand the breadth and availability of workshops offered
  • Act as liaison to set up private and corporate events with partners
  • Willingness to occasionally table at various events and markets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic experience with website entry (Squarespace, Wordpress, etc). or willingness to learn
  • Experience creating basic promotional images or willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with Atlanta and willingness to network with a wide variety of people
  • Self-starter with timely communication skills

Hours & Compensation:

This position offers a small stipend ($300/month) and will probably require about for 5 hours a week but may occasionally require additional time. While we want to compensate you for your time and effort, this position is perfect for someone who is primarily motivated by a desire to discover the best hands-on experiences Atlanta has to offer and showcase them to the larger community.

membership management Coordinator (PAID volunteer)

The Homestead Atlanta started offering membership about a year ago, and we want to continue to grow and ensure the Homestead family is getting the best membership experience possible. We'd love YOU to help us coordinate member benefits, events, and streamline membership management. We're also working toward a corporate membership offering and would value your help and input getting there!

Responsibilities:

  • Seek out locations & services in Atlanta interested in offering Homestead members a discount (garden centers, landscape designers, etc.)
  • Help strategize & execute low-cost membership card implementation
  • Create & execute casual member events
  • Research membership models
  • Strategize & implement corporate membership plan

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic experience with membership management applications or willingness to learn
  • Strategic thinker & effective researcher
  • Enjoys event management
  • Self-starter with timely communication skills

Hours:

This position offers a small stipend ($150/month) and will probably require about 2-3 hours a week but may occasionally require additional time. Both the time required and stipend amount may increase as membership grows.
